Ewan McGregor has signed up to direct an adaptation of Philip Roth's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel 'American Pastoral'.
The 'Moulin Rouge!' actor will not direct the adaptation of the fiction novel but also star as Seymour 'Swede' Levov in the film, alongside Jennifer Connelly and Dakota Fanning, BBC reported.
The 43-year-old Scottish actor, who will be directing a movie first time said that he wanted to try direction from years, but was waiting for the right story and now feels privaliged of doing so

The project will most probably start late this year in US.
