Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has said that the current club squad should be 'ashamed of themselves' as the row over David Moyes' sacking as club manager continues.

Keane said that the players should feel responsible for Moyes' axing so soon after getting the job, adding that the Scot should have been given more time at the club.

According to News.com.au, the Irish national assistant coach said that being at seventh place in the Premier League is disappointing, but one still needs help from around them, adding that he feels some of the players did not give Moyes the support he should have got.

Moyes has reportedly been sacked just 10 months after he was appointed as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor at United.

United veteran Ryan Giggs will take charge of the club till the season ends starting from the club's clash against Norwich City until a new manager is appointed for the club, the report added.
