Australian coach Darren Lehmann has admitted that the upcoming ODI series against India will be an 'exciting' one, adding that it will provide a good challenge for his young team.
Lavishing praise on the tourists, Lehmann said that India were playing an aggressive brand of cricket, insisting that he hopes they would perform in the same way in the upcoming series as well.
The 45-year-old coach described India as a quality side and, therefore, called on his side to play well in order to beat them, Sport24 reported.
Lehmann, however, backed his young players, saying that they had become quite useful to the international conditions and that they would surely handle the situation well.
Australia will face India for the first time since beating them in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup in Sydney in March 2015 when they will take on the tourists in the five-match ODI series, starting from January 12 in Perth.
