Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Vinod Kumar Binny called off his hunger strike reportedly on the advice of anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Monday, and said he will create awareness among the people about the way AAP thinks and functions.

"I had met the Lieutenant Governor (LG) in the morning. L-G advised me as an elder brother, that a hunger strike won't help. Even Anna Hazareji had told me that two to four days of protest will not work," he said.

"We will protest in another way. We will stage protests against AAP, and spread awareness among the people. And we will tell the people the difference between the way AAP thinks and functions," he added.

Binny was expelled from the AAP yesterday for making false statements against the party, and has threatened a dharna against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

He said that the party had not fulfilled even one of the promises made to the people, and that they wanted the government to fall so that they are able to run away from their responsibilities.
