A new study has revealed that massaging urine into your skin can help beat acne and troublesome complexions.
Martha Christy, author of 'In Your Own Perfect Medicine,' said that the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of wee can help boost immunity and prevent disease, the Daily Express reported.
Christy, who claims that the mineral-rich yellow liquid can combat acne, eczema and psoriasis as well as fungal infections, has suggested gargling with it, using it as eye drops and pipetting a few drops into ears.
The author even goes as far as recommending drinking one cup of your wee first thing in the morning to boost health.
The writer noted that women in 18th Century France used to take urine baths, author JW Armstrong fasted on his urine for 45 days and singer Madonna famously stated that she urinated on her own feet while showering to prevent athlete's foot.
Christy added that the healthcare world is careful to hide the natural benefits of urine, which is 95 per cent water and the rest is made of nutrients, minerals, proteins, vitamins and antibodies, because its free and therefore not profit making.
