Face tattoos have recently become the new cool thing to do.
Lizzie Renkert, co-designer of fashion label 'We Are Kindred,' said that facial tattoos have been having a bit of resurgence on international runways of late, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Renkert added that it's not a trend many can pull off and can tend to make you look "harder and tougher" than most women would like to be viewed, so she certainly hopes people don't start seeing women walking the streets wearing them, but for a bit of fun, tats can certainly add a new dimension to someone's looks.
Model of the moment, Cara Delevingne, is partial to a face tattoo and the cool hip hop singer FKA Twigs, who's now going out with Robert Pattinson, likes to paint her face for her shows and even turned up to the Brit Awards with face tattoos.
Twigs said that when she went on stage, she felt like she craved war paint so sheI could stomp through her shows, said after a particularly artful face exhibition.
She added that she was really inspired by a picture from a Galliano (Givenchy Spring '96) show, which was "so tribal and strong." She takes elements of the linear face strokes and even applies it for when she goes out casually, a line down her chin, dots and stripes on her face.
