Three former Australian captains are reportedly set to feature on the commentary team of an Australian radio channel to mark the return of international cricket to the commercial airwaves starting from the winter Ashes.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Cricket Australia (CA) has confirmed that it had agreed a five-year deal with Fairfax Radio, which runs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, to broadcast Tests, one-day and Twenty20 internationals and the T20 Big Bash League on its stations.

The commentary team, to be led by former ABC cricket commentator Tim Lane and journalist Bruce Eva, will include former Australian players Damien Fleming and Dean Jones, adding that Allan Border, Ian Chappell, Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist and former England captain Michael Vaughan may also be a part of the commentary set-up.

The report mentioned that Fairfax would broadcast the upcoming Melbourne and Sydney Ashes Tests as well as Australia's limited-overs internationals, adding that the game's traditional broadcaster ABC has lost its exclusivity and is also set to be without any calling rights to domestic cricket from this season.
