Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Friday staged a protest outside former Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar's residence in the national capital and demanded the latter's suspension from the Delhi Assembly.
Armed with banners and shouting slogans denouncing Tomar, the agitators also asked for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's resignation.
"We want to make the people of Delhi aware of the games being played by AAP.Kejriwal should apologise to people of Delhi, my request to him is that stop ruining Delhi.Jitendra Tomar cannot write three lines in English, forget about him being a lawyer," said a protestor.
Embroiled in the fake degree row, media reports say that Tomar may be expelled from the Aam Aadmi Party.
Tomar had on Tuesday been sent to four-day's police custody a day after being arrested by the Delhi Police.
Tomar is facing allegations of submitting forged education certificates while filing his nomination for the Delhi Assembly polls.
