One of the world's most popular singers, Adele, has revealed that after fear of death made her opt for a healthier lifestyle, she quit smoking.
In an interview, the 27-year-old singer said that if she had carried on smoking, she'd probably have died from a smoking-related illness, which would have been really bad, People Magazine reported.
The 'Hello' singer, who smoked an average of 25 cigarettes, a day added, "If I was dying from lung cancer, I would have potentially given it to myself, and that wouldn't be something I'd be proud of."
Adele was forced to cancel shows in 2011, when she lost her voice because of smoking. After undergoing an operation, doctors said her career would soon be over if she didn't quit smoking.
