Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has said that club 'will be ok' under the new manager David Moyes, whom Ferguson handpicked for the job.
United has seen their worst season so far under Moyes but Ferguson feels otherwise and said that Moyes just 'needs time', the report added.
According to the Mirror, United, currently at number seven in the table, are 11 points off fourth spot and almost certain to miss out on the Champions League for the first time in 19 years.
Although, United won their 20th title by 11 points under Ferguson last season, they are currently out of the FA Cup, have failed to make the Capital One Cup and are facing elimination from the Champions League to Olympiakos, the report added.
Despite large sections of United fans turning against Moyes, United have reportedly insisted that Moyes still has the full backing of the Old Trafford board.
However, Ferguson still feels that his successor is the right man for the job and United will 'be okay' under him as Moyes struggles to prove that he is the right man for the job, the report added.
