It seems like Mick Schumacher, F1 legend Michael Schumacher's son, would soon follow his father's footsteps by joining Ferrari as the latter has swung open the door for him.
It should be expected from Mick to do wonders at Ferrari because his father, Michael, won five titles for Ferrari between 2000 and 2004.
Mick, who will make his debut in Formula 3 racing in 2017, has previously been linked to a junior role with the Mercedes F1 team, but Ferrari have also expressed a keen interest.
"About his (Mick's) future, I don't know what he will decide to do," Sport24 quoted Ferrari's driver 'academy' chief Massimo Rivola as saying.
"But if he would like to enter the Ferrari programme, he will find a red carpet," he added.
Schumacher, the son of 17 year-old son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael, is stepping up to the European Formula 3 Championship this season with Prema after two seasons in Formula 4.
