Indian Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand has said that India has fielded best ever team for the upcoming 43rd Chess Olympiad and he is hopeful of India performing well in the tournament.

"It must be said that the Olympiad team is our most experienced players. So these are the best players and of course, their talent has to continue to grow and evolve but we are fielding our best ever team by rating. So, I am really hoping we do well," Anand said.

Advising the young chess players on how to prepare for chess tournaments, the 48-year old asserted that practice is the key to success in this game. He also praised the young Indian chess grandmasters Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu, Nihal Sarin, and Chithambaram Aravindh for their remarkable achievement at such a tender age.

"If you ask me how our youngsters should break through I don't....our three hottest talents- Praggnanandhaa, Nihal Sarin and Aravindh Chithambaram- they are all already grandmasters and we have many more. There is quite a lot of talent. I think practice, practice, practice....that's all," he suggested.

The 43rd Chess Olympiad is slated to be held from September 23 to October 6 in Batumi, Georgia.
