Security forces indulged in a fierce gunbattle with militants in Handwara area of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening.
The operation is still on and further details are awaited.
Meanwhile, a joint team of police and army recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions in Lolab of Kupwara district in Kashmir.
A police official said that acting on a tip off information a joint search operation was launched with 28-RR in the forest area of Watnar, Anderbugh, Lolab.
During the search operation on Thursday, militant hideout was busted and huge cache of arms and ammunitions including one AK 56 rifle, 05 AK Magazines, 1000 AK rounds, 01 UBGL, 02 UBGL grenades, 04 pistol, 04 pistol magazines, 32 pistol rounds and 21 grenades were recovered.
