Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who will soon launch actors Patralekha and Gaurav Arora in his directorial venture 'Love Games,' said that the star cast of a film is not important these days.

During the promotion of his upcoming flick, the 47-year-old director said, "After 'Mr. X' I started writing a story on Facebook every day. One day I was sitting in a mall in Mumbai, waiting for my daughter. A girl in her 20s came to me and said that I am a very big fan of your. But, not of your movies of your stories."

"So she I asked me why don't I make films like these stories. I said because I don't think the audience is ready for it. She replied that we have been ready for years, the filmmakers are not ready for it," he added.

The 'Raaz' hit maker further said that the audience is ready and in past one year films with different content have only worked.

"Star cast is not important for film these days. The can push the film over the weekend, but after that only content works," said Bhatt.

'Love Games' will hit the theatres on April 8.
