Australian teen tennis star Nick Kyrgios has claimed that he doesn't know if he would ever grow up, insisting that there is no guarantee that he would grow up any time soon.
Kyrgios' 2015 Australian Open run ended with a quarterfinal exit and he said that it felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
The 19-year-old faced pressure and expectation, and while some chose to criticise, his admirers continued to multiply, with some urging him to grow up following the Australian's antics on court, Stuff.co.nz reported.
However, Kyrgios said that he knows there are people who aren't going to like what they see all the time, adding that he reads comments every day about this guy needing to grow up, but claimed that it doesn't really faze him any more.
Kyrgios admitted that once upon a time it did, adding that he obviously wanted to please everyone, but claims that that's not possible. He said that he just goes out there now and does what he does.
Kyrgios said that he doesn't even know if he would grow up when he is 23 or 24, adding that he doesn't know if he would ever grow up. He claimed that his brother is 28 and he still acts his age, adding that there's no guarantee that he would grow up any time soon.
