Reflecting on the days creating the pioneering computer, Macintosh, its first team of developers said that creating the product was not about the money.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Macintosh, its first team of creators including Apple's first hardware guru, Rod Holt, said that had late founder Steve Jobs refused to pay them, they would have still had a group.
According to Cnet, in an event celebrating the precursor to bigger hits like iPod, iPhone and iPad, members of the original Macintosh team reflected on creating the machine and talked about how the machine led to many a great innovations of the day and still holds importance.
Creator of the MacPaint program, Bill Atkinson, recalled how Jobs pitched in recruiting him, as being a grad student at the time, he was reluctant to join but Apple flew him to Cupertino and Jobs personally convinced him.
The report said that Mike Markkula, who provided the first funding for Apple and served as chairman of the board for 12 years, was given special recognition and a trophy during the event.
