Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday sounded the poll bugle in Delhi by announcing a host of measures to appeal to various segments of voters in Delhi.
As part of his 'Delhi Dialogue' initiative, Kejriwal announced that, if elected, the Aam Aadmi Party will establish 20 new colleges in the city to ensure that every student gets admission in a college after passing Class 12.
"The youth of Delhi has immense talent, but they still don't get admissions in colleges. We'll establish 20 new colleges in Delhi; we will increase number of seats in present colleges. It is possible, we have done all calculations," said Kejriwal.
The former Delhi chief minister also promised that November 26, which is the foundation day of AAP, will be celebrated as Women Safety Day and e-rickshaws will be able to ply on the roads again.
Reminding the steps his party had taken for the welfare of people, when they were in power for 49 days, Kejriwal said, "We promised audit on power companies in Delhi and gave orders for audit within a week of coming to power. We gave 20,000 litres of water for free to the people of Delhi."
Kejriwal also said there were three things which defined his party.

"If you ask anyone they'll tell you three things about AAP. The first is that we are honest. Nobody is skeptical about AAP's honesty. Second is, we do what we say, "Jo kaha so kia". And the third is, we are brave," he explained.
Arvind Kejriwal had announced on Wednesday that his party was beginning a 'Delhi Dialogue' to interact with people from different walks of life.
Under the campaign, AAP teams would interact with people from different walks of life in the city and accordingly work towards making a Delhi of their dreams.
The AAP is seeking to reinvent itself and connect with the masses once again after its miserable show in the Lok Sabha elections this year. The party is now hoping for a repeat of its stunning show in the Delhi elections last year where it won 28 seats and went on to form the government that lasted for 49 days.
