Five militants of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Songbijit (NDFB-S) were killed in an encounter in the Dwimuguri area of Assam's Kokrajhar District early this morning.
One AK 47 series rifle, two 9 mm pistols, two 7.65 pistols, 10 magazines, five grenades, 226 live rounds of ammunition and 10 empty cartridges were recovered from the area where the encounter took place.
An amount of Rs.5 lakh was also recovered from the area.
The slain militants were identified as C Rwikha alias Rajib Sumpramary, M Rojong alias Roslin Mushahary, B Raidwng alias Raju Basumatary, Debanand Islary and Pwrmailang Basumatary alias Pranjal ANI.
