Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Sudheendra Bhadauria on Thursday alleged that the Akhilesh Yadav-led government's move to withdraw criminal cases against Minister of State for HRD Ram Shankar Katheria proves there is a 'fix match' going on between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre and the Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh.
"It is for this reason that in spite of the fact that Ram Shankar Katheria had also used language of hate against the minority community, incited the people for violence. In spite of all that no action has been taken, no arrest has been made. It only proves a point that there is a fix match going on between the BJP government at the Centre and the Samajwadi (Party) government in Uttar Pradesh," Bhadauria told ANI here.
"However, the people of Uttar Pradesh have understood it, the nefarious design of both these parties will be defeated in the days to come," he added.
The Samajwadi Party Government has withdrawn five criminal cases pending against Katheria at three different police stations of Agra, lodged separately during 2010-2011.
As per the government records, the cases were withdrawn in public interest.
The withdrawn cases include a protest in which Katheria led a mob to block the National Highway-2 on February 7, 2010, during a protest in Agra in which he was accused of rioting, wrongful confinement and causing hurt.
