Former England player Andrew Flintoff has said that while he was gripped by five days of thrilling cricket like the rest of the country, he thinks the Australians had blown a chance to win the Test match at Trent Bridge, but the first match loss was just the start.

According to The Sun, Flintoff opined in an article that Australia might have blown their best chance of a win in the Ashes series and the match had shades of the Edgbaston Test of 2005, adding that Michael Clarke's side was not as good as the Australians were used to be.

Flintoff said that he was impressed with Aussie youngster Ashton Agar and with Brad Haddin for taking the Test Match right down to the wire, but after claiming 10 wickets, Jimmy Anderson was deserving to win the man of the match award.

The England legend said that if conditions at Lord's were similar to Trent Bridge, Tim Bresnan would be an ideal choice for Steven Finn.
