India's largest e-Commerce marketplace, Flipkart has announced the launch of Trendstalk's Autumn Winter 2016-17 edition to empowering local sellers to create and sell products at par with global brands.

Trendstalk will offer sellers global fashion trends and forecasts in partnership with WGSN, a global trend authority for fashion and creative industries and National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Garnering real time information from WGSN, Flipkart will offer sellers with top-notch global trend analytics. It will closely work in association with WGSN to guide sellers with real actionable insights on latest fashion trends that are making waves around the globe.

Flipkart will also bring together a group 30 designers from NIFT and independent fashion consultants to develop design illustrations and tech-packs exclusively for fashion category sellers.

"The launch of Trendstalk last year made fashion insights more accessible to our seller base. Over 50 sellers have adopted this platform and have created 2000 styles, which are currently available on Flipkart," said VP - Fashion Flipkart, Rishi Vasudev.

The latest edition of Trendstalk in partnership with WGSN and NIFT will enable the sellers to create a niche for themselves in the cluttered market of fashion offerings.

"The WGSN and Flipkart association will help the sellers to understand global trends ahead of season and create their product with confidence for the right market and at the right time. WGSN will ensure they have insights that are accurate and as actionable as possible," said Business Director-South Asia WGSN, Priya Sachdev.
