Did you know Abraham Lincoln was a true foodie? Well, according to Rae Katherine Eighmey's book, titled 'Abraham Lincoln in the Kitchen
The new book claims that when Lincoln was a little boy he loved gingerbread men cookie and during his campaign rallies slow-roasted, pit-barbecued turkey, mutton or ox was served, the New York Post reported.
Honest Abe did his own grocery shopping at the local farmers market and could supposedly eat corn cakes "as fast as two women could make them".
Lastly, the book claims that Lincoln loved eating apples and vegetables like cabbage, spinach, and dinner was always chicken fricasee and corned beef.
