A new study has shown that people eat three times more at a barbecue than at a normal dinner.

According to the study, people usually go for another helping after eating a plate full of burgers, sausages, salad and coleslaw, which contains 900 calories, along with two glasses of wine or two-and-a-half pints of beer, which takes up the calorie count by another 340 calories, the Metro.co.uk reported.

The study by AXA PPP healthcare has found that it is easy to lose track of how much you eat during a summer get-together with family and friends than a usual sit-down meal and go beyond the recommended daily calorie of 2,000 for women and 2,500 for men.
