A football fan has fought a court battle to change his name and celebrated the victory by changing his name to Manchester United and getting the club logo tattooed on his forehead.

Zdravko Levidjov spent six years and 15 court hearings in his native country of Bulgaria fighting to be allowed to change his name. And when he was finally granted permission police still refused to put United as his surname on his national ID card.

So in protest, Levidjov did what any true football fan would do and got United's logo tattooed in the middle of his forehead, The Daily Star reported.

Levidjov, who speaks no English, said through a translator that now whenever someone asks his name, he points to his forehead and smiles, adding that the tattoo is his ID card.

He said that people don't look at him in a funny way, they look in admiration, and added that it makes him stand out and proves his loyalty to United.

Levidjov said that he did think of having the logo on his arm, but that wouldn't have the same impact.
