Foreign ministers of Russia, India, China (RIC) will discuss regional and international issues here on November 10.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday said that the 12th meeting of the Foreign ministers of Russia, India and China (RIC) would be held here on November 10.
This is the third time that the meeting is being held in India. Previously it was held in 2007 and 2011, in New Delhi and Bangalore.
"The External Affairs Minister will host his counterparts from both these countries," MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin told media here today.
"As the event is taking place in the backdrop of the evolving scenario in the Middle East, and North Africa as well as the upcoming WTO ministerial conference in Bali. Therefore issues relating to these will figure in the discussion," he added.
He further said the meeting would also address concerns relating to terrorism, drug trafficking, discussions on cooperation in multi-lateral forum, and it would also cover other global and regional issues of interest to these three countries
"The External Affairs Minister will separately meet each of the Russian and Chinese foreign ministers bilaterally also, and discuss subjects relating to bilateral interests of India and each of those countries," Akbaruddin added.
