Former British athlete Steve Cram believes that double Olympic champion Mo Farah is victim of a 'witch-hunt' after the latter denied all allegations of using performance enhancing drugs.

A BBC investigation had alleged that Alberto Salazar, who was hired as Farah's coach in 2011, doped United States 10,000m record holder Galen Rupp in 2002 when the athlete was 16 years old.

However, Cram said that it has begun to look like a witch-hunt against Farah, adding that it seemed as if some people were deliberately going after him. He further opined that the allegations were against Farah's coach and not against him.

According to a local report, the Briton had missed two drugs tests before he bagged the top honour in both the 5,000m and 10,000m at the 2012 Olympics.

Refuting this claim, Farah said that he had never taken performance-enhancing drugs in his life, insisting that he would never resort to any such things, the BBC reported.
