Former Union home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi was on Thursday appointed the new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India. He replaces Shashi Kant Sharma, who had been the CAG of India since 2013.
Also, Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Ranjan Kumar Ghose appointed as the new deputy CAG of India.
The current CAG is Shashi Kant Sharma, who was appointed by the UPA government in May 2013.
