A parliamentary panel in Iraq has urged the former Prime Minister Nouri Maliki to face trial over the seizure of the northern city of Mosul by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
According to the BBC, the report also blamed more than 30 other officials including Mosul governor Athil al-Nujaifi.
Last year, ISIS militants captured the city of Mosul in a sweep across north and west Iraq.
Maliki is belived to have promoted sectarian tensions leading to a growth of discontent in areas captured by ISIS.
