Police chief Andriy Grishchenko on Thursday said that former Russian lawmaker Denis Voronenkov may have been the person reportedly shot and killed in central Kiev.
"Yes, I can confirm that," Grishchenko said when asked whether ex-State Duma lawmaker Denis Voronenkov was the fatally shot victim, reported Sputnik International.
The police chief added that the suspect was wounded and has been detained.
"The killer is under protection, he is given priority medical assistance," Grishchenko said.
