Bill Ayers, former University of Illinois professor and co-founder of the violent anti-war group Weather Underground, has said President Barack Obama should be put on trial for war crimes.
Ayers said that while he still liked Obama personally, he deserved a failing grade on the presidency and should be tried for war crimes.
RealClearPolitics' Charlie Stone asked Ayers on broadcast of "Morning Commute" if Obama should be put on trial for war crimes.
To which the activist answered that every president in this century should be on trial for war crimes.
According to the Washington Times, Ayers added that every one of them goes into an office dripping with blood, and adds to it. And yes these are war crimes, that these are acts of terror.
Obama's relationship with Ayers became a source of controversy in the 2008 presidential elections because of the activist's past involvement with the violent Weather Underground organization.
The organization is most notable for its involvement in the 1970 bombing of New York City Police Department headquarters, the 1971 bombing of the United States Capitol building and the 1972 bombing of the Pentagon, The Blaze reported.
