Former wrestler and Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura said that he has gone "off the grid" in Mexico to avoid drones knowing his location.

The 62-year-old former sportsperson spoke with CNBC's 'Closing Bell' from an "undisclosed location in Mexico" on Tuesday, saying that he was off the grid.

He said that he was moving about with his TV show so that the drones can't find him and they won't know exactly where he is, Politico reported.

Ventura said that he will remain off the map as long as they have solar power and satellites can be reached.

He asserted that he views the US, today, much like East Berlin, and that he is off the grid.

Ventura said that he tried for 20 years to warn the country about the Democrats and Republicans, and nobody's listening.

Ventura said that he's not only creating jobs, putting Mexicans to work, but is stopping them from running across the border now and taking their jobs, as his staff told him that if he wasn't down there, and he didn't have them, the Mexicans would be coming up to the US, looking for jobs.
