Four civilians were injured after Pakistani Rangers violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing on positions of de-facto border Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The ceasefire violations by Pakistan were met with retaliation by Border Security (BSF) Force.

Father of an injured person Khalil Ahmed said that people started fleeing after there was firing for a long period.

"We have gone to collect some woods for cooking when the firing started and some bomb shell also fell at the site. As huge shelling started, people fled from the area," said Ahmed.

The fresh violations came after a gap of one month and four days along India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmir has witnessed almost uninterrupted ceasefire violation by Pakistan since August 15.
