India's paralympics hope on Monday received a short in the arm with four Indians bagging honours at the IPC International Athletics Meet in Poland.
All four participants were fortunate enough to get the backing of HVR Sports Inc, which has done wonders to their cause.
Vikas Dagar, Gyanendra Singh, Vijay Kumar and Amit Kumar, the HVR beneficiaries qualified for the summit clash at Rio by bagging a number of medals at the IPC games.
Vikas jumped 4.56 metre in the T36 section to win the bronze going past the A- standard of 4.50 metre. He also won the gold in the 100 metre (14.14s) and the bronze in the 200 m (30.95 s) dash to secure a place in all three Paralympic events later this year.
Gyanendra Singh sailed over 4.90 metre, the A - standard for the Paralympics, which fetched him the silver in the T42 category.
He later sprang the bronze in Javelin with a throw of 35.49 metre.

Vijay Singh won the long jump bronze and silver in the 100 metre ( T42), while the fourth participant Amit Kumar clinched the club throw gold and the discuss silver in F51 section.
Para-athletes from India received financial support from an Indian company which is actively promoting developing of alternate sports in India.
So far it has lent its might to at least fifty categories, formats that hardly receive any kind of support from corporate bigwigs in India.
Congratulating the medal winners and other Indian participants, Harshavardhan Reddy said that there was abundant talent in the country, especially in the field of athletics, who with a little assistance from business power houses could straddle glory both at the local as well as the global levels.
