Mere days after the Met Police announced that they had finished looking into Princess Diana's supposed 'murder plot', French cops have declared a new inquiry in the allegations made by a former SAS sniper, dubbed Soldier N, it has been revealed.

A source told the Daily Star that the Paris authorities' judicial inquiry into the 1997 Paris car crash, which killed the Princess of Wales, her lover Dodi Fayed and driver Henri Paul, is still open and the investigating judge, Sabine Kheris, intends to interview Soldier N's wife and her parents.

The insider asserted that the new inquiry shows that Kheris, who has overseen many high-profile cases, may be taking things seriously and will rigorously investigate the flawed French inquiry.

The judge has powers to investigate and call witnesses, and then decide if there is to be a trial, the source said.

The insider added that the matter will be investigated properly and it is not too late after 16 years of cover-up and whitewash.
