As part of the summer festival a fruit show was organised in Coonor, which attracted visitors from different corners of the country.

Lakshmi, a tourist was amazed to see the height of the creativity in this fruit show.
"Imagination of those who have made these fruits and vegetables (creations) is very good and surprising," she said.
The summer fruit festival showcased more than 60 varieties of fruits from all over India. A giant butterfly made by using 3 to 4 tons of grapes was the main attraction at the fruit show.
The show displayed models like a dinosaurs made of sweet limetta and jackfruits, crocodile made up of cherry fruits and pineapples, a giant King Kong made up of around 250 KG black grapes and much more.
Aishwarya, a visitor expressed her delight as she saw the exquisite creations made from fruits.

"I don't think there is any animal left, be it a python, or anything. Moreover, they have created Lord Ganesha and Lord Krishna with the help of fruits and flowers (vegetables). A man cannot believe his eyes when he sees it. The colours, fruits from carrot to pineapple and watermelon, it's wonderful," said Aishwarya.
All the visitors in the festival were stunned as they saw the innovation by the people who had designed the fruit decorations. Tourists were clicking pictures of the fruit stalls and fanciful fruits.
Akilesh, a tourist, innocently agreed with his parents for this fruit show to be one of a kind.
"All the fruits (decorations) were great. Dragon, peacock, penguin, our country's map, and bear etc, all were looking really good. Excellent, that was excellent," Akilesh said.
The festival is not a platform for nationwide fruits only, as the show also flaunted more than 17 varieties of local forest fruits, giving significant promotion to the local flora.
