The FTTI students, who staged a protest in Delhi against the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the premier institute's chairman, met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today and expressed their concerns to him.

A student, who met Kejriwal, said that it was a brief yet very healthy interaction with the Chief Minister."We briefed him about the issue at hand and how the students strike is shaping up," he added.

Although no concrete decisions were made during the interaction as it was brief and informal, the students were happy with the support shown by the Delhi Chief Minister.

"He has shown complete solidarity with us and told us that we should go ahead with our cause. He clearly communicated with us that we must take the issue up with the (Information and Broadcasting) Ministry," the student added.

The FTII students' protest was also supported by Rahul Gandhi who went to the institute in Pune last month to interact with the students and asked the government to hear the grievances of the students.
