The fans of Premier League side Fulham have reportedly blamed the removal of the 'bizarre' Michael Jackson statue from the club's grounds for their poor performance on the pitch.

The statue of the late iconic pop sensation, which was put up by former owner Mohamed Al-Fayed at Craven Cottage in 2011, was removed on September 25 last year, following which Fulham has won only five out of their 24 league games and are bottom of the Premier League table

According to the Daily Star, some fans have started a campaign for a return of the once-hated tribute to Jackson, with a fan saying that it feels as if 'Jacko' has put a curse on them for getting rid of him.

The fan further said that everything has gone wrong for the club since the exit of the statue, with two managers bring sacked and they seem doomed to relegation, adding that it is weird considering how everyone wanted to get rid of the statue before.

Former Fulham striker Rodney Marsh added his voice to the campaign, saying that he believes the club should bring back the Michael Jackson statue.
