A full dress rehearsal of this year's Republic Day Parade will take place here this morning, and Delhi Police has announced a change in traffic movement to facilitate the exercise.
The parade will start at 9.50 a.m. from Vijay Chowk and will proceed to the Red Fort ground via Rajpath, India Gate, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg.
Delhi Traffic Police has said that no traffic will be allowed on the parade route from 5 a.m. till 12.30 p.m.
This year's parade will have U.S. President Barack Obama as the chief guest, and in anticipation of his three-day second visit to India in four years, security has been tightened across the country.
