Michele Clapton and Michele Carragher have revealed the hidden meanings behind the actresses' gowns in the 'Game of Thrones' show.
Michele Clapton, the show's Emmy winning designer said that the embroidery was a subliminal way to tell someone's story for example Princess Sansa Stark's dress at her wedding to Tyrion Lannister in season three symbolically represents her path through sigils of her own family and her new husband's, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
Queen Regent Cersei Lannister's was secure in the beginning so her gowns were lightly embroidered or printed but as she gets more paranoid and uncertain of her position, she wears more Lannister emblems to show her power, she added.
Clapton further explains that Carragher has an immense personal treasure trove of beads, shells, metal rings, pearls, exotic stones, Swarovski crystals, feathers and leather and her quick artistic skills blend perfectly with her creativity.
Dresses are rarely duplicated on the show because of the ample of time involved and Clapton manages around 120 principal costumes creations in one season.
