Ian McKellen will be leading Manchester Pride parade's as a grand marshal.
Pride chief executive Mark Fletcher said that the 76-year-old 'Lord of the Rings' actor, who is a leading LGBT rights campaigner, was a genuine inspiration for the global LGBT community, the BBC reported.
This year's theme is Devotion and the event is expected to feature about 2,500 people from across Greater Manchester, who'll celebrate who and what they are devoted to, expressing their support to the LGBT community.
The parade will take place through the streets of Manchester on 29 August.
