Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill has said that he believes his side has the mental toughness and spirit to win the Premier League this season, despite boss Jose Mourinho deliberately downplaying his side's chances and picking Manchester City as 'red-hot' favourites to win the title.
Chelsea is in the mix at the half way stage of the Premier League campaign, sit third in the table and have beaten Liverpool and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, although Mourinho claims that the side is lacking in plenty of departments and are outsiders in the title race.
However, Cahill insisted that Chelsea is not prepared to give up on their title chances this season, saying that they have the quality to be competing in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League and are within touching distance with the other teams as long as they hold on to their defences.
Stating that any club with a chance of winning can win the titles, Cahill also said that they have put themselves in a good position along with a few other teams, adding that the second half of the season will be massive for them for which they should forget the negativity surrounding their chances this season.
