A Colt .45 revolver, which was once owned by General George S. Patton has been sold for 75,000 dollars at an auction in Los Angeles.
The historical documents' auction house, Profiles in History, which conducted the process, initially expected the Model 1873 single-action revolver to fetch over 60,000 dollars, Fox News has reported.
The revolver, which was acquired by the famous World War II general around 1928 until his death in 1945, had distinctive stag horn grip and is often considered to be a version of the General's famous ivory-handled Colt. 45.
This Colt .45 revolver's auctioned price also included the buyer's premium and is on display at The General George Patton Museum and Center of Leadership in Fort Knox, KY.
