According to CNN, Germany, which had been leading in their Group C for a long time, sealed their World Cup berth by winning 3-0 against the Republic of Ireland on Friday, while Belgium overtook Croatia 2-1 to head their Group A and join Germany for the 2014 tournament.
Meanwhile, Columbia confirmed their place in Brazil by drawing Chile 3-3 at home and became the second South American nation to progress through qualifying after Argentina, while Switzerland clinched their World Cup spot and topped their Group E after a 2-1 away victory over Albania.
Monaco player Radamel Falcao netted two late penalties to give Colombia its first World Cup spot since 1998, while Real Madrid's Sami Khedira gave Germany an early lead against the Irish, the report added.
