Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is said to have sat in on the clear-the-air talks between Luis Suarez and manager Brendan Rodgers that look set to leave Arsenal disappointed.
According to the Mirror, it is Gerrard's part in healing the rift between Arsenal target Suarez and manager Brendan Rodgers, which could have the most say on the Reds' season.
With Liverpool insisting Suarez will not be sold, either to the Gunners or any other club this summer, the want-away striker has had no alternative but to swallow his pride and apologize, the report said.
Gerrard's intervention is thought to be a signal that Suarez has been accepted back into the team by his teammates, the report added.
