The 2016 surgical strike was initiated after four militants attacked the Indian army at Uri on September 18, 2016, in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, killing 19 unarmed soldiers. Partial footages of the surgical strikes were also released to the Indian media.
The movie, which is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala, also features Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina in pivotal roles. It is slated to hit theatres on January 11 next year.
