The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has said that they have indefinitely suspended midfielders Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng from their country's World Cup squad after bust-ups with the management.

The GFA revealed on their website that Muntari is accused of attacking Moses Armah, who is a member of the management team, while Boateng is said to have verbally abused national team coach James Kwesi Appiah.

According to News.com.au, the news came just a day after the Ghana government said it was airlifting 3 million dollars to Brazil to resolve a financial dispute with players, who boycotted training on Monday in protest.

Referring to AC Milan player Muntari, the GFA said that the decision was taken in the wake of his unprovoked physical attack on an Executive Committee member of the GFA and a management member of the Black Stars, Mr Moses Armah on Tuesday 24th June, 2014 during a meeting.

The GFA statement also said that the decision against Boateng was taken following the midfielder's vulgar verbal insults targeted at coach Appiah during the team's training session in Maceio this week, adding that the footballer has since showed no remorse for his actions which has resulted in the decision.

Both players have had their World Cup accreditations withdrawn, while the GFA said the decisions were taken with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Boateng said that he had asked Appiah what the coach had against him, adding that the boss started screaming at him and swore at him during an altercation that erupted after the two players were ordered back to the changing room for laughing during a training session.

Boateng said that he absolutely accepts being sent home but no one should believe that he would have insulted the coach, nor to lay blame at his door.
