Italy produced an outstanding team performance as they cruised to a 2-0 win over Belgium in their opening Group E clash of the European Championship at Stade des Lumieres in Lyon on Tuesday.
Two stunning goals from mid-fielder Emanuele Giaccherini and striker Graziano Pelle gave Italy a perfect start to their Euro campaign.
Giaccherini put his side ahead in the 32nd minute of the match by providing a tidy finish to a long Leonardo Bonucci pass, the Guardian reported.
Pelle then ensured to give his side with a perfect finish by doubling the lead just few minutes before the stoppage time.
Italy, who have climbed up to the top of the table, will now take on Sweden while Belgium will play against Ireland.
