County Chief Martyn Moxon has insisted that former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie has still not being approached for appointment as Peter Moores' successor.
The newly appointed England's Cricket director Andrew Strauss had named Gillespie as a 'potential candidate' for England's new coach.
Moxon said that it is all speculation and only Strauss has said this, adding that Gillespie would probably take an international job in the future, the BBC reported.
The former England opener believes that Gillespie or any other potential head coach would need clarification on the responsibilities which he and Strauss would be entailed.
Gillespie, who was appointed by Yorkshire in 2011, has led the county from Division Two to the County Championship title within three years.
Earlier, Moores was sacked after England's poor performance in the World Cup and West Indies tour.
Meanwhile, former Australian opener and team-mate Matthew Hayden has said that anyone applying for the job would be "crazy".
