Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Wednesday said that the final meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM), set up to look into bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, has taken place, and its recommendations will be discussed in the Cabinet tomorrow.
"The Cabinet took a decision on October 3 to form a Group of Ministers, and they wanted recommendations from the Group of Ministers. The final meeting has taken place, and the recommendations will be discussed in the Cabinet tomorrow,' he told media after the GoM meeting here today.
The Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by Shinde, was constituted to address all the issues that need resolution at the central and state government levels in the matter.
Earlier on November 18, GoM completed the process of discussions with various stakeholders from the Telangana, Seemandhra and Rayalaseema region.
On October 3, the Union Cabinet had decided to go ahead with the process for the creation of a separate Telangana state carved out from Andhra Pradesh.
