The Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting on bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh with Union Ministers from the state will be held here today.
According to TV reports, three Union ministers from Telangana region - S Jaipal Reddy, Porika Balram Naik and Sarve Satyanarayana would meet the GoM.
Congress leaders from Telangana region on Sunday deliberated on crucial issues to be taken up with the high-level ministerial panel.
Talking to media here yesterday, Reddy said the meeting was convened to finalise the response to questions to be raised by the GoM.
"Government of India has appointed a group of ministers to finalise the recommendations and the bill for formation of Telangana state. The group of ministers will be meeting the leaders of both the regions of Andhra Pradesh on Monday. In the first instance, we three ministers from Telangana region, we represent before the group of ministers, after that others will represent," he added.
The Central Government had earlier reorganized the GoM, cutting its strength from 10 to seven ministers.
On October 3, the Union Cabinet had decided to go ahead with the process for the creation of a separate Telangana state carved out from Andhra Pradesh.
